Which Bhog should we offer on each day of Chaitra Navratri

From Shailputri to Siddhidhatri, every day for nine days of Chaitra Navratri, each Bhog honors different avatars of Maa Durga through special offerings, Prasadam made with lots of love and devotion. These 9 days devotees celebrate their utmost devotion towards Maa Durga. These nine days hold immense power and Bhog Prasad is presented to avatars of Goddesses to seek her guidance and blessings. Here are the nine bhog ,items that you should offer to Maa Durga.
Each item is chosen for its symbolic importance and is considered to bring good luck, prosperity, strength and wisdom to seek Goddess Durga’s blessings. To strengthen the bond between the devotee and the goddess, navratri is a religious festival, a time for self-discipline and spiritual upliftment. Beyond these rituals, the time is for vibrant rituals, dance and devotion and to reflect triumph of good over evil.
Chaitra Navratri commenced on Sunday, March 30 and will conclude on Ram Navami, Sunday, April 6.

Day 1

The first day is dedicated to Goddess “Shailputri or Shailaja “, the one who sits on the mountain top and is the daughter of King Himavat (personification of the Himalayan Mountains). One the first day of Navratri, Maa Durga is offered “Ghee” to receive blessings and strength from Maa Shailputri.

Day 2

The second day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini, this avatar, the unmarried goddess, is worshipped. Prasad offered to Maa, this day is “Sugar”, known to enhance wisdom and ensure longevity of life.

Day 3

Maa Chandraghanta, who is the embodiment of peace and determination is worshipped. Avatar of Maa Durga, who is adorned with half chandra on her forehead and as a token of love for her valour,bhog Prasad “Kheer or Milk made” items are offered, which is known to protect devotees from evil forces.

Day 4

Goddess Kushmanda, worshipped on the fourth day of Navratri. Kushmanda, the goddess who has the strength to live inside the sun. The glow her body radiates is as luminous as that of the Sun. “Malpua or Fruits” are offered to Maa Kushmanda, who grants the devotees health and wealth.

Day 5

On the fifth day of Navratri, when the goddess became Skandamata ( mother of Lord Skanda also known as Kartikeya), she is offered the Bhog Prasad of Banana, which graces her devotees with power and prosperity.

Day 6

Goddess Katyayani, worshipped on the sixth day of Navratri, known to destroy demon Mahishasura, Goddess Durga took the form of Goddess Katyayani. One of the most vicious avatars of Maa Parvati. On this day, Honey of Sweet Paan is offered to direct anger in a positive direction to harness the ferocity productively.

Day 7

The seventh day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Kalratri, who protects from wicked forces. On this day devotees are offered jaggery as bhog. It is widely believed that jaggery brings sweetness in life.

Day 8

Maa Mahagauri is honored on the eighth day. According to puranas, Maa Mahagauri was extremely beautiful, had a divine look that radiated positive energy.
Offer the Prasad of Coconut to Mahagauri to get rid of all your sins and win her heart in the form of worldly gains.

Day 9

Goddess Siddhidhatri, the supreme goddess of power, Adi-Parashakti, appeared in the form of Siddhidhatri from the left half of Lord Shiva, who represents knowledge and enlightenment. To her sesame seeds are offered as Prasad, to achieve all sorts of Siddhis.
