What is Egg Beer?

If you think that Egg Coffee is the latest innovation around eggs, then you need to visit Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam to try the unconventional blend of eggs and beer. It might not be the most convenient way to serve eggs, but the decades-old Giang Cafe in Hanoi is delighting drinkers with a frothy beer cocktail that has a lot of eggs in it. According to Nguyen Chi Hoa, owner, Giang Cafe, he first tried the recipe in 1999, curious about how the combination might turn out, and rest as they say is history!

How is it made?

According to Hoa, it is made with ice cold beer topped with creamy egg yolks whipped with sugar and a touch of butter to boost richness. Media report says that to keep up with demand, the cafe cracks 1,000 eggs every morning to be beaten by machine throughout the day. The interesting version of egg was first created by Hoa’s father in 1946 as an affordable alternative to the cappuccinos sipped by French colonial occupiers.

What else you can make with eggs?

Not just beer, Hoa’s cafe also offers frothy eggs drinks made with rum, matcha, chocolate and even Coca Cola.

Is there any health benefit?

According to beauty experts, the combination of eggs and beer helps skin breathe and exfoliate naturally. Also, regular consumption of the concoction brightens the skin and gives a natural glow to the facial skin.

Verdict

Going beyond conventional cooking and dishes is always fun and this one is definitely worth a try. Keeping the health benefits in mind, it is not just an interesting drink but a healthy drink that every person would love to try to attain a glowing skin.
