Drink pineapple juice to fight against cold and cough

A runny nose, cough and cold can weaken anyone’s immunity; be it an adult or a kid. Recently, actress Vidya Malvade also caught this seasonal change and instead of popping a few pills, she took the herbal route and regularly took pineapple juice in her diet.

In one of her Instagram posts, the Inside Edge actress revealed that she has been diligently having pineapple juice for the last few days in order to deal with her cold and cough. Disclosing further, the Chak De, India actress said, “I can feel the coughing bouts have reduced & my nose is not super blocked or running constantly anymore.”

Vidya further revealed that she has been drinking homemade kadha and ginger tea concoction and it has helped her tremendously. It has helped her lose weight as well. She also shared on her Instagram post that pineapple has a compound called bromelain, which helps get rid of the phlegm from the body during colds coughs. (Imag courtesy: Official Instagram page)
