How to keep the gas stove burners clean and shiny

A gas stove is one of the most used kitchen appliances in any Indian kitchen. From cooking, boiling, frying, and roasting, it is used in many ways to prepare scrumptious foods and for reheating purposes. The ongoing LPG crisis across India because of the ongoing war in West Asia involving Iran, Israel and the United States is now beginning to affect Indian kitchens and restaurants, as supply disruptions linked to the conflict hit cities and the hospitality sector. Hence, keeping that in view, it is important to use the LPG effectively and for that, one needs to keep the gas stove burners clean, which are often neglected. What happens when you don't clean the gas stove burners

The gas stove burners have tiny holes that help in the even distribution of the flame. With regular use, wear, and tear, they create layers of greasy stains that later work as hindrances to the even distribution of flame and automatically result in excess consumption of LPG. Onion


As per experts, boil some onion chunks for 20 minutes and let the water cool down. Use the water to clean the greasy stains with the help of a sponge, and you will be surprised to see the change.

Vinegar


Pour a few drops of white vinegar on the burner and let it rest for a few minutes. Use a sponge to remove the stains, and then clean it under tap water using dishwashing liquid. Practise this trick twice a week for effective results.

Baking Soda



All you need to do is add some baking soda to 2 tbsp of lemon juice or white vinegar and use it to clean the burner to get the desired results.

Water and salt


Boil some water along with salt and soak the burner coil in the boiling water for 15-20 minutes. Use a hard brush and dishwashing liquid to clean the minor stains.

Lemon


Heat the burner for a few seconds, then rub the lemon skin and juice on it and let it rest for a few minutes. Wash it under tap water using dishwashing liquid.

Dishwashing liquid

Add 2 tbsp of dishwashing liquid to a cup of hot water and soak the burner for 5-7 minutes. Next, use a sponge to clean the stains and then wash them under tap water.
