​Domino's

Recently, Domino's Bengaluru outlet was trolled for a picture, where cleaning mop brushes were hanging just above the trays of pizza dough in the kitchen. Also, employees’ clothes were seen hanging on the wall right above the open trays with pizza dough. Sharing the picture a user named Sahil Karnany wrote on Twitter: "This is how @dominos_india serves us fresh Pizza! Very disgusted. Location: Bangalore". (Image: Twitter)

​Saravana Bhavan

​Subway

As per a study, tuna fish used in Subway sandwiches do not use tuna DNA. The study was commissioned by The New York Times where 60 inches of Subway sandwiches were sent to the lab for testing. And the lab found that no amplifiable tuna DNA in the sample was present, as per the document referred by The Independent. In response to the controversy, the sandwich brand claimed that the study was based on an “unreliable methodology”. (Image: istock)

​KFC

In 2012, worms were found in the food of food giant KFC after a customer complained that he had been served a chicken meal consisting of live worms. After the investigation, the outlet in Kerala’s Trivandrum had to be shut. As per reports, authorities found worms in the chicken when they inspected the eatery and that resulted in the closing of the outlet. (Image: istock)

​McDonald's

A Delhi customer received a compensation of Rs. 70000 from the brand after his complaint of being served a burger with live insects in it. Sandeep Saxena, who lives in east Delhi, had gone to the McDonald’s outlet at GIP Mall and ordered a McAloo Tikki Burger. After the first bite, he realized there was an insect in the burger. He started vomiting, after which he filed a complaint against the American food giant seeking justice. (Image: istock)
