How to boost protein content of eggs

Eggs are a rich source of protein and if you are someone who loves to have eggs everyday, it sometimes becomes monotonous to just have eggs. That is when you crave adding other sources of protein to make it an even more powerful meal. For the uninitiated, a study titled 'Health Functions of Egg Protein' also states that egg protein is a remarkably abundant source of protein, with an amino acid score of 100 and the highest net protein utilization rate. Here, we have curated a list of five common foods that one can combine with eggs to boost protein intake and the right way to consume them.

Paneer


Paneer is said to be rich in casein protein, which digests slowly and keeps you full for longer. It is said that when it paneer is combined with eggs, it creates a protein-dense, satisfying meal.
How to consume: One can make paneer and egg bhurji by scrambling eggs with crumbled paneer, onions, and spices. Enjoy it with roti, paratha or bread for a wholesome meal.

Moong Dal


This dal is rich in protein and fiber and complements eggs when combined with eggs. This combo is said to improve satiety and digestion too.
How to consume: The best way to combine both is to make a cheela with moong dal and top it with a masala omelette, or mix cooked/sprouted moong into your egg scramble.

It is a thick and creamy source of protein along with gut-friendly probiotics. Together, they make a rich addition of protein to the daily meal.
How to consume: Simply serve boiled eggs with a side of seasoned hung curd dip, or use it as a spread in egg sandwiches and wraps. One can also combine boiled eggs and yogurt to make a salad.

This is one of the richest sources of protein for vegetarians and if you are someone who loves both, then you can combine eggs and soya to make salad or even sandwich stuffing,

How to consume: Simply soak and mince soya, cook with spices, and mix into omelettes or egg bhurji. One can also use the mixture to make a sandwich or wrap.

It is a good source of protein and healthy fats and when combined with eggs, it helps create a more balanced and energy-dense meal.
How to consume: One can spread peanut butter on toast and top it with sliced boiled eggs for a quick, protein-packed snack.
