Unhealthy foods loaded with chemicals

In the new-age lifestyle where packaged foods and good-looking foods always attract our senses, there exists a truth that they are not good for the body. Yes, you read it right! No packaged food is chemical free and while they satiate the taste buds, they only cause harm to the body in the long run. Here’s a list of 10 nutritionally terrible foods that one should avoid to live a healthier tomorrow.

Every other eatery is selling this deadly snack, which is loaded with trans fats and calories. And as per experts, the flavor of this snack is so addictive that you will not settle with one serving and the overload of trans fats may cause severe heart issues.

​Sugar Cereals

They are low in fibre and high on sugar, a combination that can only invite diseases and make you obese. As per experts, if you really want to have cereal for breakfast, then choose those which contain less than 10 gms of sugar and at least 3 grams of fibre. Also, remember that they are laced with Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) or BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole), which is not good for the heart.

​Sweetened Drinks

During scorching heat, they do give us relief, but in the long run, they are only going to cause suffering. As per studies, drinking soda or cola increase the chances of developing type -2diabetes and make you obese. They also cause cavities and even packaged fruit drinks are equally harmful. Hence it is advisable to consume fresh fruits, and consume pure milk and water.

Those Instagrammable desserts look tempting, but they do no good to your body. Apart from artificial sugar, they are loaded with sodium, which will only increase your blood pressure and cause other health issues.

While WHO recommends 25 grams of sugar intake daily, but health experts believe that the artificial sugar available in the market is not at all worth consumption. It can only cause diabetes, heart disease and obesity. Hence, one should opt for jaggery or honey for a healthy lifestyle.

​Granola Bars

They are considered as an ultimate healthy snack, but only when chosen wisely. With a plethora of options in the market there are chances of falling prey to unhealthy ones which are loaded with artificial chemicals and sugar, and will only cause harm. It is suggested to hunt for bars with at least 2 grams of fibre and less than 10 gms of sugar and those which have little or no saturated fat, and fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners.

They are high in saturated fats, and contain high levels of advanced glycation end products (AGEs): inflammatory compounds that are created when these processed meats are dried, smoked, and cooked at high temperatures. They also contain nitrates and nitrites that can turn into carcinogenic nitrosamines when exposed to high heat and cause severe respiratory issues.

​Coffee Creamer

Sadly, the name says it's a creamer, but in reality there is no cream. It is mainly made with sugar, water, and soybean or canola oil and also contains synthetic additives like mono and diglycerides.

Cake frostings are not good for the body as they are loaded with chemicals like carcinogen-contaminated dyes (such as caramel color and titanium dioxide) and artificial colors. Many frosting also contain propylene glycol, which has been linked to poor kidney health.

Pancake is good but not the syrup. Wondering why? Well, because they are loaded with fructose corn syrup and carcinogen-contaminated caramel coloring, which only causes harm to internal body elements.
