Golden hoops

From Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor to JLo and Selena Gomez, hoops are an all-time favourite, and what's more, a thick pair of gold hoops is all the bling one needs to Diwali-ready. “Hoops have evolved with time. Earlier, they used to be only of the plain and thin golden or silver sorts. Today, there are several variations, the latest one being golden double or triple hoops. They are in vogue right now, with celebrities across the world wearing them. You can pair them up with kurtis, salwar kurtas, ethnic dresses and more. Also, they are perfect for virtual parties,” says stylist Nakul Dutt.

Snatch that waist with gold waist chains

Like Vanessa Hudgens and Beyonce, you can opt for gold belt chains, which don't just go with bikinis, but saris too! "It is a very delicate and seductive piece of jewellery. You really have to dress up accordingly, to pull it off, but it is definitely worth trying on,” says Nakul.

Stack them up

It's all about doubling or tripling the bling. You can wear multiple rings on your finger, or stack up your bracelets, or neck chains. Actors like Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, and Jahnavi Kapoor, have all been seen in stackable jewellery, and the festive season is the perfect time to give the trend a go. “Stackable jewellery looks stunning, and works great as a statement piece. Stack your rings and bracelets with your ethnic outfits this festive season. You can either go all gold or mix and match metals, depending on your outfit. Stackable jewellery also works well for those who don't like heavy jewellery. Instead, you can layer delicate pieces, and it does not look loud at all, " says stylist Snehal Rao.
