What’s in Deepika Padukone’s bag? Basically… everything

Deepika Padukone’s bag reveal: Practical, quirky, perfectly her

“This is literally my party bag,” Deepika Padukone laughs, holding up a handbag that is anything but tiny. In a fun Vogue India segment, the actress gives fans a peek into the one accessory that never leaves her side—her everyday bag, which turns out to be a whole personality of its own. What’s inside? A mix of practicality, quirk, nostalgia, and very Deepika-approved efficiency.

A keychain with a French twist

Among the many things she pulls out, it’s her massive bunch of house keys that she treats like treasure. “These are extremely important,” she says, lifting them like an award. And she isn’t kidding - there’s a key for almost every corner of her home.

But the charm lies in the keychain: tiny pastel macarons she picked up in Paris. “This one always makes me smile,” she admits. It’s that sweet little reminder that even big stars love their cute souvenirs.

3/9

Her airline cards > Credit cards

While most people guard their credit cards like gold, Deepika proudly flashes something else - her airline membership cards. “These are more important to me,” she grins.

The habit comes from her mother, who worked as a travel agent and made sure Deepika understood the joy of collecting miles from the time she turned 18. “I love taking this out at the counter, the person across is always shocked I even have one.”

4/9

The one thing every actor should carry

Between shoots, airports, hotels, and film sets, Deepika is constantly in transit. She reveals that she always keeps something that grounds her, some memory or symbolic little thing that reminds her of home. Whether it’s a photo or a small token, it helps her stay centred while living out of suitcases.

Beauty essentials for the go-go-go life

She swears by a face mist, especially for long flights because “it just wakes up the skin instantly.” A mouth freshener is always in there too, because interviews, red carpets, and Zoom calls don’t wait for anyone.

6/9

The scrunchie every woman understands

And of course, there’s always a hair tie. “Every woman will relate to this,” she says. “The panic of not finding one is real.”

Safe to say, Deepika is prepared for all emergencies - beauty, emotional, or logistical.

7/9

Pandemic-era essentials: The phone stand

Deepika even shows a small phone stand that became her “best friend” during lockdowns. Whether it's press calls, scripts, or virtual meetings, it helps keep the angles flattering. “You don’t want your nostrils showing too much,” she says, deadpan.

8/9

Notebook girl forever

Despite being a global icon, she is delightfully old-school about writing. “I prefer pen and paper,” she shrugs, showing her notebook.

It’s a habit passed down from her father, badminton legend Prakash Padukone. “He always writes things down, and that rubbed off on me.”

Even better, she always carries a pencil, and not just for notes. Deepika shares a classic acting hack: holding a pencil in your mouth while practising dialogue to improve clarity. “It works!” she says.

9/9

Her ‘everything kit’: Part pharmacy, part beauty counter

If Mary Poppins had a desi, glam successor, it would be Deepika. Her “most essential kit” could easily handle any crisis, beauty-related or otherwise.

She casually pulls out:

Medicines

Wet wipes

Tampons

A nail file

Alka-Seltzer (“in case you partied a little too hard”)

Band-aids

Safety pins (her MVP item)

It’s basically a mini survival kit crafted by someone who has spent years living on film sets and airplanes.
