Inside Mark Zuckerberg’s insane watch collection

From grey tees to gold wrists: Inside Mark Zuckerberg’s superb watch collection

Forget the hoodie. Forget the flip-flops. The Mark Zuckerberg of 2026 is a different beast entirely. While the Meta CEO was once famous for claiming he didn’t have the time or energy to think about what he wore, he has quietly morphed into one of the most serious high-horology collectors on the planet.

And we aren’t talking about the standard smartwatches you’d expect from a tech mogul. We’re talking vintage rarities, diamond-studded bezels, and pieces so obscure they make standard luxury watches look like toys.

According to a recent deep dive by Esquire, Zuck’s collection is a mix of heavy-hitting classics and avant-garde "grails." Here is a look inside the watch box that has the horology world buzzing.

2/7

Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph

Zuck seems to have a particular soft spot for Patek Philippe, the grand dame of Swiss watchmaking.

The crown jewel? A Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph (Ref. 1518). This isn't just a watch; it’s a piece of history. It features a "pink-on-pink" colour scheme (rose gold case with a salmon dial) and is one of only 13 known models in existence. While Esquire lists the price around £730,000, they note that a similar version once belonged to an Egyptian prince and sold at auction for a staggering $14.5 million.

3/7

Grand Complication (Ref. 5270/1R)

He also owns a Grand Complication (Ref. 5270/1R) worth roughly £126,000 or INR 1,52,76,895. It’s a rose gold stunner with an ebony black sunburst dial and a bracelet fully integrated into the case. It’s elegant, technical, and screams "old money."

For something a bit flashier, there's his Ref. 5961R (1,70,95,573), a flyback chronograph with an annual calendar that features a diamond-rimmed bezel.

4/7

Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 6239

You can’t be a serious collector without a Rolex Daytona, and Zuckerberg has two of the rarest ones money can buy. First, there’s the Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 6239, valued at £730,000 or INR 8,85,02,937. This is the classic "Paul Newman" style chassis with contrasting black subdials - a vintage status symbol that collectors fight over.

But if you think that’s loud, check out his Rolex Ref. 6269. This vintage piece is practically a mythical creature; only eight were ever made. It features an 18-carat yellow gold case, a bezel set with 48 diamonds, and a dial set with another 231 diamonds and nine sapphires. The price tag? A cool £970,000.

5/7

De Bethune DB28XS 'Purple Rain'

This is where Zuckerberg proves he’s a true watch nerd and not just buying big brand names.

He was spotted wearing a De Bethune DB28XS 'Purple Rain' (£73,000 or INR 88,50,220). It’s got a lightweight titanium case and a violently purple dial with a wavy effect. As the Esquire report jokes, usually only Prince could pull off a purple watch, but Zuck is giving it a go.

6/7

Platinum F.P. Journe FFC

Finally, there’s the conversation starter: the Platinum F.P. Journe FFC (£305,500 or INR 3,70,36,009). This watch is a technical marvel co-created by legendary director Francis Ford Coppola. Instead of standard hands, it uses a mechanical blue hand in the centre of the dial that actually moves its fingers to count the hours (a practice called dactylonomy). It’s extremely rare, with less than 15 made per year.

7/7

High wrist game

Mark Zuckerberg has come a long way from the monochrome t-shirts. Whether it’s counting hours with mechanical fingers or wearing a Rolex worth nearly a million pounds, his wrist game is currently unrivalled in Silicon Valley.
