Would you pay ₹8.6 lakhs for a Lifebuoy bag? Louis Vuitton thinks so

Louis Vuitton’s lifebuoy bag is making a splash

Yes, Louis Vuitton just re-entered the novelty bag game and this time, they’ve dropped a lifebuoy-shaped purse. Debuted at the LV Men’s Spring 2026 show in Paris, the bag has already taken social media by storm. It’s bold, it’s bizarre, and it’s very Louis Vuitton.

2/6

The price tag?

Let’s get straight to it, the Lifebuoy Bag costs $10,000, which is around ₹8,60,000. It’s currently listed as “contact concierge services” on the LV website, which means it's coming soon or already in high demand. Either way, it’s not your everyday impulse buy… unless your wallet lives in a different tax bracket.

3/6

Quirky, but totally wearable

Surprisingly, this isn’t just a collector’s piece. The bag is actually functional, with three zippered compartments and an adjustable leather strap so you can wear it crossbody or over your shoulder. It’s made with the brand’s signature leather canvas and stamped with that iconic LV monogram, so yes it’s still luxe, just in a floaty kind of way.

4/6

Not LV’s first wild bag moment

Louis Vuitton is no stranger to the novelty bag world. Remember Virgil Abloh’s airplane-shaped bag from 2021? Or the LV Paint Can, Fan Bag, and the Pumpkin Shoulder Bag from their Yayoi Kusama collab? The Lifebuoy Bag is just the latest in a line of over-the-top arm candy that doubles as fashion art.

5/6

Luxe meet eco-conscious leather

Here’s something cool: the leather used in this bag comes from certified tanneries in Europe that meet top environmental standards, including reduced water and energy use. LV’s been working with partners who focus on traceability and responsible sourcing, so your novelty bag is not just stylish, but a little more sustainable too.

6/6

Already trending everywhere

From fashion blogs to Instagram reel scrolls. People are loving the drama, the humour, and the full-circle moment (literally). Whether you love it or think it looks like it belongs on a boat, one thing’s for sure: LV knows how to get people talking.
