These 8 fashion items are RUINING your HEALTH

How many times do you buy something, just because it's trendy? A lot of us are guilty of this habit! Most women love following trends and buying a few fashionable items, which are secretly damaging our health. From coloured underwear to shopper bags, here's a list of 8 such items which are ruining your health.

2/9

Skinny jeans and tights

One of the biggest hazards in your closet is this one. Skinny jeans and even tights compress the nerves, which reduces the blood flow to the lower legs. And not just that, skinny fits also harm your skin, which can lead to fungal and bacterial infections, which can also get serious.

3/9

Thongs

If you're a thong fan, then you're at risk of getting an infection easily. As you move, sit and walk, the fabric of thong also moves and can carry rectal bacteria to your vagina and even bladder. Ill-fitted underwears and skimpy fabrics only make things worse! And, as most of the thongs are made of shiny and silky-kind fabrics, they trap the bacteria.

4/9

Coloured underwear

Do you spend hours choosing the perfect coloured underwear? Fabric dyes can actually irritate the delicate skin down there and cause infection. Most dyes are synthetic on artificial fabrics, which means white cotton ones are the safest to pick.

5/9

High heels

Do you know that women tend to have more foot problems than men? One of the biggest reasons is the heels. The more you wear, the more your foot health gets affected. Heels create an unnatural posture, which can cause muscle imbalance with regular wear.

6/9

Flip-flops

Believe or not, flip flops are the riskiest footwear. They can be dangerous if worn for long periods. The thing straps and soles don't distribute the pressure evenly. Repetitive use of such flats can cause injuries. One should choose flats with strong arch support and cupped heels. Also, go for thicker straps to secure your foot from injuries.

7/9

Ill-fitted bras

From too-stretched straps to tight-fits, poorly fitted bras can cause a lot of health problems. They are not just unconformable but are associated with neck, back and shoulder pain. Also, they cause bad posture and skin irritation.

8/9

Shapewear

Many women often get addicted to wearing shapewear to get a smooth shape and silhouette. What's worse is that they can actually squeeze your digest tract, which can cause acid reflux and stomach pain. It's best to avoid shapewear on a regular basis and use only when required.

9/9

Big handbags

We all love our big tote and shopper bags. But, if you carry these bags filled with a lot of weight, then you're doing it wrong. Heavy bags like these can lead to shoulder and back pain and even joint pain! If you have to carry more items, stick to backpacks, which evenly distribute the weight on the shoulders.
