Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s desi glam slam in America

Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently landed in the US and totally stole the show in Detroit, Michigan. Attending the 2025 Telugu Association of North America (TANA) event, she brought all the desi glam vibes with a stunning saree look designed by none other than her good friend Kresha Bajaj. Let’s break down how she nailed this perfect mix of traditional and modern fashion goals.

2/6

The saree

Samantha’s saree was pure fire, a burnt red chiffon beauty with gemstone tassels shimmering along the borders. But here’s the cool part: she didn’t drape it the usual way. Instead, she styled the pleats on one side to create these chic tiers upfront, while letting the pallu cascade from her shoulder all the way to the floor. It was a fresh, elegant take on the classic six yards that instantly feels bridal-party or wedding function worthy. Bridesmaids, listen up!

The corset blouse

Pairing the saree with a red corset blouse, Samantha turned up the glam factor. The blouse featured a plunging sweetheart neckline, broad shoulder straps, and cute front button closures. Plus, the fitted silhouette hugged her curves like a dream, thanks to the corseted bodice. The silver and black bead embroidery in floral patterns gave the whole look a feminine edge that was just chef’s kiss.

4/6

Effortless accessories and makeup

Samantha kept the accessories simple but striking. A gold tennis bracelet, bold gold earrings, and strappy heels perfectly balanced out the statement saree.

Her hair was styled by Kanwal Batool (who’s no stranger to star-studded events, having worked with Diljit Dosanjh at the Met Gala). Samantha rocked loose soft waves with a side part, giving off major effortless glam. Makeup-wise, think black winged liner, gold shimmer eyeshadow, mascara for those fluttery lashes, flushed cheeks, a glowing highlighter, and glossy pink lips. It was the perfect mix of natural and dramatic, just what you want for a night event.

What’s next for Samantha?

Besides slaying fashion goals abroad, Samantha’s busy on the work front too. She was last seen in the Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan. Directed by Raj & DK, it’s an Indian spin-off of the American show Citadel that starred Priyanka Chopra.

Why we’re loving this look

Samantha’s look is the perfect inspo if you want to blend traditional Indian wear with a modern twist. The burnt red shade, the playful draping, and that killer corset blouse make it versatile enough for weddings, parties, or even a fancy family get-together. Plus, it shows how you can keep it chic and comfy while still turning heads.

So if you’ve got a wedding coming up or just want to steal some serious style vibes, take a page from Samantha’s book because this saree moment? Total knockout.
