Pakistani politician, Maryam Nawaz, who is the daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and is a known philanthropsist was not allowed to fly to London to attend her son as she had a legal case going on in a Pakistani court, but the wedding has garnered a lot of attention. Held late last month, the wedding of Junaid Safdar and Ayesha Saif Khan is hitting the headlines for another reason - its Indian connection.

Junaid tied the knot with Ayesha Saif Khan, who is the daughter of Saifur Rahman, the former chief of Pakistan’s Accountability Bureau.

The radiant bride wore a magnificent lehenga by none other than Indian designer, Sabyasachi. The powder-pink blouse featured intricate floral motifs and the skirt featured a thick zari border set with hundreds of beads and sequins. The ensemble also featured a sheer dupatta.
