How often do you wash your clothes after use?

Tank tops, camisoles, T-shirts, and sweaters should be washed after each outing but some lethargy can be acted upon. On the other hand, outer clothes such as dress shirts, skirts, etc. can be worn a few times untill the crucial summer's onset which promises to come with sweat stains, hence in summers they should be washed after every use. However, jeans can typically be worn 3 times before washing. Let’s dig deep and know how often we should wash our clothes after using them.

2/6

Innerwears

When it comes to personal hygiene, one should primarily wash bras and underpants every day after taking a bath. However some go ahead and wash their bras in the span of two days, but one needs to understand that our undergarments are strapped to our body for 10-12 hours every day collecting oils from skin and deodorant. Therefore, it needs regular washing to maintain your basic body hygiene.

3/6

Jeans

To keep the bacteria at bay, one should wash your jeans every four to five wears depending upon the type of denim which protects your body making you feel safe and comfortable. People usually delay washing their jeans to protect them from stretching and wearing out the fabric, thus one should opt for a good-quality fabric and then move ahead with the washing process.

4/6

T-shirts and tops

T-shirts and tops should be washed after each wear as they collect enough sweat, dirt, and dead skin cells to warrant a cleaning. However, dress shirts which are considered to be outerwear can be washed after 2-3 wears unless you’re prone to heavy sweating. It also depends on the color, fabric, and quality of your top to stop it from fading, you can depend upon the fabric though and if it’s cotton and see-through then after 2 uses you can wash your t-shirts and tops.

5/6

Sweaters

Sweaters can be washed after 2-5 outingd before washing. It depends upon the material it is made of and how the sweater is worn. If you’re simply layering it then it is not absorbing the sweat, you can wear it up to 7 times. But, if they’re inners then you need to wash them after wearing them twice at the most.

6/6

Gym wear

Gym wear should be washed everyday after use as it absorbs the highest amount of dead cells and sweat which easily gets into the fabrics and can bring uncomfort with a foul smell, next time you’re gonna wear it. Therefore, always purchase 3-4 pairs of gym wear and try to clean them every day to avoid itchiness and redness caused by sweat.
