​From Anoushka Shankar to Gurujas Khalsa: Meet the stylish Indians at Grammy Awards 2023

The 65th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony which took place at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, 2023, was an amalgamation of the best in music and style. Not only did it recognize the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year, it also brought together some of the most fashionable looks on the red carpet. While we'll talk about the gowns and suits later, let's have a look at some of the most stylish Indians spotted at the gala ceremony this year.

​Gurujas Khalsa

An American-born singer who's converted to Sikhism and is married to an Indian, Khalsa won a Grammy along with her teacher Harijiwan Khalsa (from White Sun II), for the best new age, ambient, or chant album for 'Mystic Mirror' at the 65th annual Grammy Awards. She looked elegant in her traditional Sikh satin robe and bejewelled headgear.

​Anoushka Shankar

British-American sitar player and music artist, Anoushka Shankar who's had 7 Grammy Awards nominations till date and also performed at this year's Grammys stunned in a nude shimmery dress with floral applique work by Indian designer Rahul Mishra. In an interesting story shared by the performer on Instagram, the dress seriously came to her rescue when the outfit she had planned to wear fell apart just four days ago.

​Kabir Sehgal

Indo-American author and composer Kabir Sehgal looked dapper in a tuxedo with a quirky bow tie for company. He finished off the look with black and white leather sneakers.

​Rickey Kej

US drummer and composer Stewart Copeland, record producer Herbert Waltl, and Indian composer Ricky Kej accepted the award for Best Immersive Audio Album and Ricky Kej made sure he looked Indian enough on the big day. The composer wore a blingy sherwani and he did manage to grab the eyeballs.

Singer and founder of Grammy-nominated Berklee Indian Ensemble, Annette Philip stunned in a dual-toned kanjivaram silk sari. She finished off the look with a red bindi and a wired gold choker.
