Thus, World Parkinson’s Day is observed on April 11 every year to raise awareness of Parkinson's. For the unversed, Parkinson's disease is a progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement. Symptoms start gradually, sometimes starting with a barely noticeable tremor in just one hand. ​'Fighting Parkinson’s…and Winning' by Howard Shifke

In the fall of 2009, Howard Shifke was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Fortunately, in 1999, Howard started studying alternative healing and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the 10 years leading up to his diagnosis, he had learned the body can heal itself. As a result, Howard developed an alternative treatment methodology. Nine months later, he won the fight against Parkinson's with his full recovery. He has been symptoms free from Parkinson's since June 12, 2010.

I was diagnosed in UK 2013. i was diagnosed with the bulbar form of Parkinson's disease(PD) and was given one year to live. My symptoms progressed quickly. Soon i was having difficulty standing, swallowing and even walking short distances.
