Queer webcomics you must read

As the world is progressing towards a more accomodating place day by day, words like "queer", "gay", "lesbian", "bisexual", etc. are becoming common increasingly. This has also resulted in characters belonging to the aforementioned sexualities finding a space in several literary texts and comic books. One such recent example is the coming out of Superman as a bisexual in the upcoming issue of the DC comic series. At a time when queer characters are finding space in the world of popular fiction, here is a look at some queer webcomics you must read.

This sci-fi comic is about a pair of robotic inventors and the family they build together. It's a moving book about parenthood, queer, and trans family, and what it actually means to be alive.

This queer love story is set in the future, where humans use technology to modify their bodies and appearance. However, some people's bodies reject the modifications, forcing them to rely on old-fashioned cosmetics.

"This beautifully illustrated slice-of-life tale that shows two young women of color getting to know each other and creating a relationship is so warm and charming that readers will hardly notice how much they are learning about how to better interact with folx who are different from themselves and the importance of not making assumptions," wrote the Kirkus Reviews about the comic.

The fun comic revolves around a powerful goddess and her devoted priestess who are reunited 2000 years later in modern-day California. However, the twist in the tale lies in the fact that the priestess has no idea who the goddess is. Stuck navigating the modern world, the goddess is trying extremely hard to win back the heart of her soul mate.

This historical comic is a wonderful mix of adventure, romance, and mystery. It centers on the relationship between Sulvain, a tenderhearted necromancer, and Raziol, a 17th-century astronomer. But as the two grow closer, trouble brews in the city, which is bound to affect them both.

The series follows an adventurer mage, Malori, as she attempts to seduce the Demon Queen Velverosa. It’s set in a fantasy world in which teams of adventurers set out on a quest to kill the Demon Queen and win fame and fortune. Malori is the only one interested in winning her hand instead.

The story follows two characters, a cook named Janek and a healer named Chepi, who meet on the road and begin journeying together. It's a gorgeous romance about trauma, healing, nature, and home.
