​'The Silence of the Lambs' by Thomas Harris

It is the sequel to Harris's 1981 novel 'Red Dragon'. Both novels feature the cannibalistic serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter, this time pitted against FBI Special Agent Clarice Starling.
