Chilling YA horror books to read this summer

A chilling and suspenseful horror book is something people of all age groups like to read. The nail-biting storyline, haunted locations, blood-sucking vampires - who doesn’t like them all! After all, we as humans like to discover the unknown - something which is beyond our reach and understanding. This gives an adrenaline rush to an otherwise boring, work-from-home life that we are living due to the pandemic. Moreover, life has become even duller for kids and young adults who can’t step out of the house. To keep them busy and entertained, here is a look at 7 chilling YA horror books.

2/8

'Clown in a Cornfield' by Adam Cesare

The book is about Quinn Maybrook and her father who have moved to tiny, boring Kettle Springs, which is caught in a battle between old and new. It’s a fight that looks like it will destroy the town. Until a creepy clown goes homicidal and decides that the only way for Kettle Springs to grow back is to slaughter the kids who live there now.

'Burn Our Bodies Down' by Rory Power
