Know when to throw away your beauty products

If you are a beauty enthusiast, who loves hoarding make-up, then you also need to keep expiration date in mind. Some make-up products may look old and not good to use, while some might look good to use but can be expired. Using expired products can cause rashes, inflammation and skin irritation. If you're confused and want to find out the make-up expiration date, then here's a list of products and their estimated expiration dates.

2/6

Face cleansers

Most face washes last up to one year. And if you start seeing lumps and discolouration in the liquid, then you need to throw it away immediately.

3/6

Micellar water

This beauty potion can grow bacteria easily when exposed to air. The shelf life of this product is for six months and not more than that.

4/6

Face toner

Just like micellar water, face toners are water-based products too and can easily catch bacteria. The shelf life of the product is 6 to 12 months. If you notice that it starts to change colour, the texture becomes thick and smells funny, then you need to throw it right away.

5/6

Moisturiser

A lot of face creams last up to one year. However, take care of natural and organic products, which can expire in less than a year.

6/6

Perfumes

If you store your perfumes well, then you can increase their shelf life. They last up to 8 to 10 years. You can store them in dark cupboards, away from the light.
