Five tips you must follow while shaving off body hair

When it comes to shaving off body hair, most of us just make some lather with soap and start shaving. But what's little known is the fact that this can actually take a toll on your skin and even cause irritation. Here are a few common mistakes you should avoid making the next time you shave:

2/6

Dry shaving

Shaving without lathering up can cause razor bumps and even cuts. It will also make your skin rough and harsh. To avoid this, you must apply a shaving cream to get a smooth shape.

3/6

Not replacing your razor

If you're not changing your razor enough, then you must. Be it disposable razors or regular ones, you need to change them regularly. Old ones can contain a lot of bacteria, which in the end can take a toll on your skin.

4/6

Shaving in opposite direction

When you shave in the opposite direction, you can get ingrown hair and even harsh growth. Also, shaving against the grain will cause skin irritation and even razor bumps.

5/6

You don't exfoliate

Before shaving, you must exfoliate your skin. This will help to get rid of dead skin and give you a smooth shave.

6/6

Not rinsing after

Once you have shaved, you must rinse your body with cold water. It will help to close the pores and soothe your skin. And, once you're done with rinsing, you must moisturise to keep your skin soft and supple.
