Easy-to-make homemade hair masks

Keeping up with an active and effective care routine is an investment. Therefore, people turn to natural and effective methods to care for their hair, promoting longer and healthier strands. From homemade oils to toners, it's time to try DIY hair masks, which will be a perfect choice during the summer rush, leaving your strands shinier than ever. Follow the simple steps, and with already available home ingredients, you can look out for a real change.

Hair growth and strength: Cinnamon and coconut oil

This intriguing spice works to stimulate blood circulation and promote hair growth with strength. Dealing with issues ranging from thinning to breakage, the blend with coconut oil helps in further repair because of the presence of fatty acids. One needs to take one teaspoon of ground cinnamon and one teaspoon of coconut oil. Blend it and apply this mask to your roots and hair strands. Let it sit for 30 to 45 minutes, and then rinse with warm water.

For dry and brittle hair: Coconut oil, yoghurt, egg, and lemon

If you’re struggling with dry hair, then use this DIY homemade mask brimming with vitamins that will help nourish your strands and hydrate them because of the inclusion of coconut oil and yoghurt. Take one teaspoon of coconut oil, one cup of lemon juice, ½ cup of plain yoghurt, and one egg. Blend all ingredients in a bowl until well combined, and using your fingertips, start the massaging process. Now, cover your head with a warm towel and capture the essence with natural heat. Leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse it well with warm water and shampoo.

For damaged hair: Honey, avocado, yoghurt, bananas, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar

Most of the time, we expose our hair to intense heat and pollution, which leads to damage. To protect your locks, you can use this hair mask loaded with vitamins and minerals that will treat split ends and damaged roots. Furthermore, the essential fats and biotins from avocado have hair-strengthening properties that would nourish and protect your locks. Take one tablespoon of each ingredient and mix it well to form a paste. Use your fingertips and apply this formula to get shiny, strong, and locked tresses.

For dandruff and dry hair: Olive oil and sugar

This mask is a great exfoliant for the scalp and hair shaft. It will clear the product buildup and also treat flakiness. The oil delivers healthy fats with active emollients and has moisturising effects. One needs to take two tablespoons of sugar and five tablespoons of olive oil. Stir the two a little, but do not dissolve the sugar completely. Work it through your hair gently and then rinse it out immediately, followed by a shampoo and conditioner.
