JAMMU: High priority is being given to enhance the infrastructure for the
Vaishno Devi yatra that is seeing a progressive increase in the number of pilgrims who visit the shrine, Navin K Choudhary, CEO, Shrine Board said conveying the directions of state governor and Shrine Board Chairman N N Vohra. In 2012 the number of pilgrims visiting the holy shrine crossed the one crore mark.
“The Board has allocated Rs 100 crore to upgrade public convenience complexes on the way and the time bound completion of the 7.4km dedicated mule track between Katra and Adhkuwari,” Choudhary said.
