Projects worth Rs 32,000 worth launched

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects for education, railway, aviation, and road sectors, worth over Rs 32,000 crore in Jammu.

First electric train in valley

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also flagged off the first electric train in the valley. He also flagged off the train service between Sangaldan station and Baramulla station. He launched key railway projects worth over Rs 16,000 crore in Jammu and Kashmir.

PM distrubuted appointment letter

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the ceremony also distributed the appointment orders to about 1500 new government recruits of Jammu and Kashmir.

Second visit after abrogation of Article 370

This is the second visit of PM Modi to Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019 and becomes crucial ahead of the coming Lok Sabha polls. He was received at the Jammu technical airport by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Union minister Jitendra Singh.

PM Modi seeks support of women to make 1 crore 'lakhpati didis'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday sought the support of the country's women and said he wants to make one crore women in India "lakhpati didis". PM encouraged a self-help group (SHG) head Kirti of Basohli area of Kathua district to leverage the loan scheme under livelihood scheme and contribute to the success of rural women.

India's longest rail tunnel opens in Jammu

The longest railway tunnel in the country on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. "This longest tunnel, which is 12.77-km long and known as T-50, falls between the Khari-Sumber section," a railway official said.

PM Modi inaugurates new buildings of IIT Patna, IIM Bodh Gaya

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday virtually inaugurated new buildings of several premier academic institutions in Bihar, including IIT Patna, and the permanent campus of IIM Bodh Gaya. He inaugurated 24 new academic and residential buildings of IIT Patna, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 466 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that J&K has got freedom from a long dynastic rule that focused on their own progress and development and not that of the people.
