Pannun backs J&K terrorists, announces front for joint action
NEW DELHI: Expressing support for the terrorists who ambushed an Indian army vehicle on Thursday in Poonch, US-based Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has declared a new front to foster an association with terror groups in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pannun called himself the spokesperson of Kashmir-Khalistan Referendum Front and claimed that the ambush on Indian soldiers was a "consequence of India's violence against Kashmiris".
Calling Kashmir a "disputed" territory, Pannun said the only peaceful resolution to the dispute lies in holding a 'referendum'. "Just like 'Sikhs For Justice' (SFJ) is holding the Khalistan referendum to challenge the association of Punjab with the Union of India, I urge Kashmiri freedom fighters to organise and hold the Kashmir referendum," he said.
His call for solidarity with terrorists in Kashmir comes on the heels of his veiled threat to attack the new Parliament building in response to US claims on "India's foiled assassination" bid on him. Pannun had recently said that his response (to the alleged bid) would "shake the very foundations of Parliament".
