Pak troops fire at Indian post

JAMMU: In yet another incident ofunprovoked cross-border firing, Pakistani troops targeted second battalion ofEighth Gurkha Rifles at the Krnati post along the Line of Control in Poonchdistrict's Mendhar area, official sources said in Jammu.Sources alsosaid intermittent firing was reported for more than an hour at the post onThursday. They said the Gurkhas returned the fire without suffering anycasualty. Army spokesperson Lt Col S D Goswami, however, refused to comment onthe latest ceasefire violation.Pakistani troops had resorted tofiring at Regal in Samba, Salhutri in Mendhar and Tangdhar in Kupwara sector inviolation of ceasefire agreement.
