Satish Kaushik

The veteran Bollywood icon who made a lasting impression on the audience left the world on March 9, 2023, at the age of 66 after suffering a heart attack. He played a small but memorable part in his first film role 'Masoom' in 1983. Kaushik was praised for his work in Indian classics like 'Ram Lakhan' and 'Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja', among others. Li Keqiang was one of the most influential personalities in Chinese politics, but, he was left with little authority after president Xi Jinping became a high-octane leader in China. He died in October this year after suffering a heart attack. (IANS)

Pervez Musharraf, who is even considered as the architect of the Kargil War against India in 1999 had seized power in a bloodless coup. Musharraf (79) served a controversial nine-year-long reign and led his country into aiding the US war in Afghanistan against the Taliban. Musharraf who was a four-star general died at a hospital in Dubai after a prolonged illness. (PTI)
