Delhi liquor policy case: A timeline
NEW DELHI: On Wednesday, AAP leader Sanjay Singh was arrested in connection with a money laundering case following raids at his house linked to Delhi excise policy introduced by the Arvind Kejriwal government in November 2021.
The case pertains to allegations that the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22 allowed cartelisation and favoured certain dealers who had allegedly paid bribes for it, a charge that has been strongly refuted by the AAP.

November 2021

July 31, 2022
Opposition accuses Delhi government of promoting 'liquor culture' in the national capital. The policy is immediately withdrawn.
August 17, 2022
CBI registers a case against 15 accused, including then Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, in connection with several irregularities in the implementation and formulation of the policy.
August 19, 2022
CBI conducts raids at Sisodia's premises in the national capital
October 17, 2022
Former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia questioned by CBI for around eight hours.
November 25, 2022
CBI files charge sheet against seven accused in the case.
February 26, 2022
CBI arrests Sisodia after interrogating him for eight hours.
February 27, 2022
Delhi's Rouse Avenue court sends Manish Sisodia to five-day CBI custody for questioning.
February 28, 2022
Former Delhi deputy CM moves Supreme Court against his arrest by the CBI.
The top court dismisses his bail plea and asks him to move high court.
On the same day, he along with his jailed minister Satyendar Jain resign from the Delhi cabinet.
March 4, 2022
Delhi court extends Sisodia's CBI custody till March 6.
March 9, 2022
ED arrests Sisodia after grilling him for the second time. He is presently lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail.
October 4, 2023
ED conducts raids at AAP leader Sanjay Singh's residence, followed by searches on the premises of his close aides. Singh is taken into custody after a day-long interrogation by ED officials at his Delhi residence.
The central probe agency has so far filed five charge sheets in the case.
