Textile export goal of Rs 9 lakh crore

Bharat Tex 2025 is a mega global event uniting the entire textile value chain, from raw materials to finished products. India’s textile exports have reached Rs 3 lakh crore, with a goal of tripling to Rs 9 lakh crore by 2030.

Empowering handloom and traditional textiles

The event highlights India’s rich handloom heritage, including Banarasi silk, Pashmina, and Kanjivaram. 'Breathing threads'

On the sidelines of Bharat Tex 2025, the development commissioner for handlooms, ministry of textiles organized a fashion event titled “breathing threads” at the Bharat Mandapam amphitheatre. In collaboration with Vaishali S Couture, the event celebrated Indian handlooms in modern silhouettes, honouring craftsmanship and reviving traditional weaving techniques on global luxury platforms.
