They have been asked to make individual representation before the EC on November 5 at a camp, where the genuine voters, of the list of 2,200 fake names, will get a chance to physically verify their identity. The remaining names will be struck off from the list.
According to official sources, the EC team visited every house here to verify the names in the electoral roll. The team was accompanied by 1,000 armed SAF personnel, said sources. The inspection continued from October 28 to 31. The Manegoan assembly seat in Rewa district is the bastion of state assembly Speaker Shrinivas Tiwari and it has been alleged that Tiwari was behind the manipulation.
