Oil prices surged Monday after Iran said it suspended all exchanges with Washington following days of inconclusive talks to end the war, and the two nations again traded strikes.
At around 1330 GMT the price Brent North Sea Crude for August delivery was up 4.9 percent at $95.60 a barrel, after briefly rising above 5 percent. Its US counterpart, West Texas Intermediate crude for July delivery, was up 5.9 percent at $92.55.
Six people were injured at one of SK Hynix's chip factories in Cheongju, South Korea, due to a hydrogen fluoride gas leak, Yonhap News Agency reported, citing a fire official.
The leak of the toxic gas happened after a fire broke out, the official said, adding that the blaze has been contained.
A fire broke out on the second floor of the Ministry of Education office on Vikas Marg in Delhi on Monday, officials said. Fire tenders have been rushed to the spot.
Efforts to extinguish the blaze are underway. No casualties have been reported so far.
