'Fire fighting equipment of plane not was activated'

farrukhabad: the fire-fighting equipment of the plane that crashed near mainpuri killing senior congress leader madhavrao scindia and seven others appeared to not have been activated at the time of the tragedy, aviation experts probing the crash said on wednesday. "the fire-fighting equipment of the aircraft has been recovered and it appears that it was not activated to put out the fire in the plane's engine," according to p shaw, who is heading the court of inquiry. the rear side of the plane has not yet been located and until its recovery it would be difficult to reach any conclusion as to the cause of the mishap, he said. meanwhile, district police chief sridhar pathak told reporters that some parts of the plane had fallen at a long distance from the crash site.
