‘NTR’: These actors in talks to play in the much-awaited biopic

The biopic on Viswa Vikyatha Nata Sarvabhouma Nata Ratna Padma Sri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, titled ‘NTR’ is the much-awaited and much-talked-about film of the year. According to the industry buzz, the film traces the life of Sr NTR from his entry into the film industry and talks about his demi-God status, his relationship with family to his political journey. Everybody who is eagerly waiting for the film’s release is talking about the characters which will be shown in the film. We give you a rundown of all the characters rumoured or confirmed to make an appearance in the much-awaited biopic!

After enthralling everyone with her path-breaking performance in ‘Mahanati’, Keerthy Suresh is all set to star in the role of Savitri again in this biopic, sources suggested. She received praise from the audience for the flawless performance. The film also successfully completed its 50 days run recently. Keerthy Suresh, whose dedicated performance made the film successful, has become the favourite actress of the masses and now people are waiting to see her once again in ‘NTR’.

Bollywood star Vidya Balan was approached for the role of NTR’s beloved first wife Basavatarakam, while Paresh Rawal is seemingly playing former CM of Andhra Pradesh, Nadendla Bhaskara Rao. NTR and Basavatarakam got married in 1942 and it is said that she was pretty supportive to NTR in the initial stage of his film career. She died of ovarian cancer in 1985. Latter his star son Nandamuri Balakrishna set up a cancer hospital ‘Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute’ named after his mother. According to latest reports, Vidya Balan has apparently agreed to be on board for the film.

Tollywood hunk Ran Daggubati is also in negotiations to star in the biopic, where he will be seen as Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the first Chief Minister of bifurcated Andhra Pradesh. Reports stated that Rana will come on board to essay the dynamic leader. He was last seen in the Teja directorial ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’ and again in talks to star under his direction. Currently, Rana is busy with several interesting projects in his kitty.

After starring in ‘Mahanati’, it will be yet another biopic for Naga Chaitanya who will reportedly be seen portraying the role of his legendary grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Unarguably, NTR and ANR were the two eyes of the Telugu film industry. Their friendship was above all and applauded by everyone in the industry and fans. It would be quite interesting to see how their rapport would be sculptured on screen.

Tollywood prince is reportedly stepping into his father’s shoes for ‘NTR’. The actor would play his own star dad Superstar Krishna Ghattamaneni in the biopic of Sr NTR, an upcoming movie loosely based on his life. The official announcement will come soon. The yesteryear actor once rivalled Sr NTR for the number one position in the showbiz world. It would be interesting to see how their relationship would be shown in the film.
