‘Mirchi’ marked the directorial debut of Koratala Siva. The 2013 film featured Prabhas, Sathyaraj, Anushka Shetty, Richa Gangopadhyay, Nadhiya, Sampath Raj, Brahmanandam and Subbaraju in lead roles and is often regarded as one of the blockbuster commercial hits in Tollywood. Upon release, the Prabhas starrer emerged as a runaway hit at the box office, earning tremendous critical acclaim. Though story falls flat from the routine lanes, Siva’s gripping style of story narration and sharp-edge screenplay made it to the blockbuster status.
