Veteran cinematographer V Jayaram passes away due to COVID-19

In yet another loss to the Telugu film industry, veteran cinematographer V Jayaram passed away on Thursday night due to COVID-19-related complications. The cinematographer has been battling the virus at a city hospital for the past few days and succumbed to the illness at the age of 70. He is survived by his two children, a son and a daughter.

Hailing from Warangal, Jayaram was passionate about photography from when he was a little boy. His uncle had a photography studio which he used to frequent as a child and developed a passion for photography. At the age of 13, he left home and reached the erstwhile Madras in the hope of making it big in the industry. Over the course of his career, Jayaram went on to work with some of the leading actors of Telugu cinema, including Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Krishna, Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu.
