As per an OTTplay report, there have been discussions about actress Urvashi Rautela joining the team for a significant role. However, it has not been confirmed. Urvashi recently has been in the news for her latest outing in Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer 'Daaku Maharaaj'.
Urvashi Rautela's appearance in 'Daaku Maharaaj' has been making headlines for multiple reasons. The film's song 'Dabidi Dabidi,' featuring Urvashi and Balakrishna, led to a backlash due to its choreography and the age gap between the two actors. Fans criticized the dance as "obscene" and "vulgar," on the internet. Urvashi also faced criticism for her responses during promotional events where he repeatedly kept on mentioning the film's box office collection.
Speaking of the upcoming film, the storyline of 'NTRNeel' is speculated to be inspired by the life of Chinese gangster Zhao Wei, with Jr NTR playing a formidable mafia don caught in a crossfire between two warring gangster groups. Prashanth Neel, known for his work on the 'KGF' series and 'Salaar,' is bringing his signature style to this project. Currently, the film is in the production phase with the 'RRR' expected to join the sets soon.
The cast of 'NTRNeel' is still being finalized, but there are rumors that Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas and Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth might join the project. Biju Menon is also expected to return to Telugu cinema with this film.
Jr NTR was last seen in 'Devara: Part 1,' an action thriller directed by Koratala Siva, where he played dual roles alongside Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. His upcoming projects include a Bollywood debut in 'War 2' alongside Hrithik Roshan. Prashanth Neel, meanwhile, is juggling multiple projects, including 'Salaar 2' and 'KGF 3'.
