Top Bollywood stars who made an impact in southern cinema in 2022
Bollywood actresses acting in Tollywood or in any other southern films are not new in the South Indian Entertainment industry as there are several southern actors too who constantly keep appearing in Hindi films. But, there were a few A-listers who had never shown interest in starring in South films and are now showing much enthusiasm to act in southern films, thanks to the lockdown that brought the audience together. Below is the list of top Bollywood actors that appeared in South films in 2022.

Anupam Kher
Anupam Kher who was introduced to Telugu in the 1987 film ‘Trimurthulu’ has now appeared in ‘Karthikeya 2’ after a long hiatus of 35 years. He played the role of Dhanvanthari in the Nikhil starrer Mystery action-adventure film that is written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti.

Salman Khan
One of the Top stars of Bollywood Salman Khan who remakes several Telugu films in Hindi has greeted the Telugu audience with Chiranjeevi's Telugu remake of the Malayalam film 'Godfather'.
He played an important role in the film, which is directed by Mohan K. Raja in Telugu besides dancing with Chiranjeevi in a song titled 'Taar Maar Takkar Maar' in the film.

Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn is one of the leading actors in Hindi cinema, who has entered the Southern Industry with SS. In Rajamouli's 'RRR', he played a small Cameo in the film. Its impact was huge and it only brought him good fame for his character as a father to 'Alluri Sitarama Raju'.

Sanjay Dutt
Nagarjuna's 'Chandralekha' is said to be the first film in which Sanjay Dutt appeared in Telugu films, he was seen in a guest role in that film that is directed by Krishna Vamshi. Recently he made a full-fledged role 'Adheera' in 'KGF Chapter 2' making his re-entry into the southern Industry and is said to be doing more films now..!

Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt, who made her south debut with SS. Rajamouli's 'RRR', in which she played the role of Sita, wife of Alluri in the film and stole the hearts of the Telugu audience in her maiden Telugu movie, though the length of a character is small, her character made an impact in the film.

Ananya Pandey
Veteran Bollywood actor Chunky Panday's daughter Ananya Panday has entered the southern Film industry with Puri Jagannadh's 'Liger'. The movie stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role and Ananya was seen as his love interest, Tania.

Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya Rai acting in south films is not new, she made her acting debut with a south Film but later she acted more in Hindi films, and after marrying Abhishek Bachchan she became more of a Hindi woman. Recently she appeared in the Tamil film 'Ponniyin Selvan' directed by Mani Ratnam in the roles of Nandini and Mandakini Devi.

Huma Qureshi
Huma Qureshi took an S-town ride with Rajinikanth's 'Kaala', in 2022 she once again made a comeback to south cinema with Ajith Kumar' 'Valimai' directed by Vinod.

Raveena Tandon
Raveena Tandon made her acting debut in South films with the 1993 Telugu film 'Ratha Sarathi', the same year she did 'Bangaru Bullodu' opposite Balakrishna and again in 2001 she did a film with Nagarjuna titled 'Akasha Veedhilo' and later with Mohan Babu in 2014's 'Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda'. Recently, she played a crucial role in the Kannada film 'KGF2' . She played Prime Minister Ramika Sen and impressed everyone with her performance.

Mrunal Thakur
Young successful Hindi actress Mrunal Thakur who mesmerized Hindi audiences with Love Sonia, Super 30, Dhamaka and other films greeted the southern audience with the successful period romance film 'Sita Ramam' in which she played the role of Princess Noor Jahan alias Sita Mahalakshmi and entertained the audience.

Vivek Oberoi
Though Vivek Oberoi is not new to Telugu cinema, he has appeared in different roles already in Telugu cinema under the direction of Ram Gopal Varma in films namely 'Rakta Charitra 1 and 2' and was also seen in Boyapati Srinu’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama. Vivek also been featured in films like 'Lucifer', 'Kaduva' in Malayalam and 'Rustum' in Kannada lately.

Jacqueline Fernandez
Jaqueline who appeared in a special item song in‘Sahoo’ was recently seen in such a song in Kiccha Sudeep’s Kannada film ‘Vikrant Rona’ and she is yet to appear in a full-length role in a Southern film.
Still, there are several Hindi actors and actresses such as Sachin Khedekar, Tinnu Anand, Neeraj Kabi and more who made their acting debuts in south Indian films...!
