Telangana Legislative Assembly elections 2023: Here's why 'Salaar' star Prabhas failed to cast his vote

The 2023 Telangana Legislative Assembly elections occurred on November 30, drawing the participation of several prominent figures such as Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Vijay Deverakonda, Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, and more. These celebrities took time off from their busy schedules to fulfill their civic duties and cast their votes. But what makes fans wonder is Prabhas' absence.

However, the absence of Baahubali star Prabhas at a polling booth raised eyebrows among fans. Reports suggest that Prabhas couldn't attend due to ongoing recovery from knee surgery in the United States earlier this year. Media outlets have shared that the actor decided to take a break to focus on his surgery recuperation.

Celebrities began arriving at their respective polling booths when voting commenced. Megastar Chiranjeevi, accompanied by his family, was among the first, followed by Jr. NTR with his wife and mother, and Allu Arjun.


Other notable figures like Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Ram Charan, Upasana, and more participated in the voting process.



Despite Prabhas's absence, the actor has a busy schedule ahead with several films in the pipeline. His highly anticipated action film, 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire,' directed by Prashanth Neel, boasts an ensemble cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Brahmaji, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, and others. The film is set to release on December 22 in multiple languages.

Prabhas is also set to star in Nag Ashwin’s science fiction film 'Kalki 2898 AD,' featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and more in crucial roles, expected to release early next year.

Additionally, the actor will be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film titled 'Spirit,' where he will portray the role of a police officer.
