The film also released in Tamil under the name Maranthen Mannithen. Sundeep Kishan recently chanced upon the trailer of the film and couldn’t help marvelling over it. He wrote, “Chanced upon Gundello Godari’s trailer after ages this morning & Today I realise it was such a diff/cool film to shoot back then, Set in The 1980s floods backdrop, @lakshmimanchu you were a boss to back it 9yrs ago @taapsee @aadhiofficial #KumarNagendra” (sic) This post by Sundeep Kishan seems to have refreshed Lakshm Manchu’s memories of working on the film as she shared Sundeep’s post and wrote, “What memories, what a film, i dont think I could do it now! #gundellogodari has my heart.” (sic) Sundeep had some kind words for his producer and co-stars. He wrote, “What an experience it was to film this..it was a completely new universe and character for me.. The flood sequences that you and Aadhi shot for Genuinely kudos to you for pulling something like this off as a producer close to a decade ago” (sic)
