On the work front, SS Rajamouli is currently focused on his next major project with Mahesh Babu, tentatively titled 'SSMB29'. Reports indicate that filming for this ambitious movie is set to begin in January 2025. With speculation about potential cast members, including Priyanka Chopra.

This grand project is rumoured to have a staggering budget of Rs 900-1000 crores.

The film's script has been finalized after two years of development by Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli's father and a renowned screenwriter. Reports suggest that 'SSMB29' will be a globe-trotting adventure film, taking inspiration from the prominent American film series, 'Indiana Jones'.

While the full cast and crew have yet to be confirmed, there are speculations that Mahesh Babu's character may be inspired by Lord Hanuman from Hindu mythology. Additionally, the film is expected to feature international talent both in front of and behind the camera.
