Sandeep Reddy Vanga opts out from the Telugu remake of Lust Stories

It’s already evident that popular Bollywood producer Ronnie Screwvala is all set to bankroll the Telugu version of Lust Stories in collaboration with Netflix. Along with Arjun Reddy fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga, names like Nandini Reddy, Tharun Bhascker and Sankalp Reddy went around as the directors for the four-episode anthology. However, there is no official announcement on the project or the combination.
Confirming that the makers of Lust Stories have approached him, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that he had opted out of the remake. In an interaction with renowned English daily, the 37-year-old stated that the makers initially said that it’s about an honour killing, but later confirmed that it’s about lust. “I told them that I am not comfortable with lust,” adds Sandeep who walked out from the project.
However, the Kabir Singh director confirmed that he’ll certainly do a web series 4-5 years later. “I am planning to do a web series in the next 4-5 years, based on some real life incidents. It’s about a group of friends and I know that it can’t be a film because the censor would not give us clearance for it” adds Sandeep.
