Tollywood actress Samantha Akkineni took to social media to share a fresh-faced selfie clicked by her mom Ninette. Dressed in comfy PJs with her hair pulled back and a smile on her face, Samantha looked happy as she posed for a click. The picture even shares a glimpse of their home. Not just fans, even Raashi Khanna couldn’t help but comment, “So pretty,” while Venkatesh Daggubati’s daughter Aashritha wrote, “Love your natural glow.” It looks like mommy dearest is in Hyderabad, spending some quality time with her daughter and son-in-law Naga Chaitanya before she gets back to shooting for her upcoming projects. Samantha switched up the kind of films she chooses in the last few years. The actress has impressed fans with good roles in films like Rangasthalam, Mahanati, U Turn, Super Deluxe, Majili, Oh! Baby and Jaanu. The actress will soon be seen in Gunasekhar’s Shaakunthalam, filming for which was in progress before the second wave of coronavirus hit the country. Based on Kalidasa’s work, the film will also see Dev Mohan, Aditi Balan, Mohan Babu and others in key roles. The project was announced in October 2020 and filming commenced from March this year. Designer Neeta Lulla, who worked in Rudhramadevi, was brought on-board to design the costumes. Mani Sharma will compose the film’s music and it remains to be seen how the film will shape up.
