Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who has been reportedly evading arrest due to derogatory posts about Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and other political figures, recently released a video message from an undisclosed location.

Varma questioned the validity of the multiple cases filed against him for his posts on X (formerly Twitter), which he claims were an attempt at persecution by state authorities. He said, "I am not sure how these cases will be accepted in the court. Eventually, there is a law of land that will take the final call, to which I abide as a citizen." He argued that these cases lack merit and ironically hurt the sentiments of random individuals rather than the intended targets of his tweets. He stated that he is uncertain how these cases will be received in court but affirmed his commitment to abide by the law as a citizen.

In his message, Varma revealed that he had received notices from the Andhra Pradesh Police and requested additional time to respond, explaining that his professional commitments prevented him from attending questioning sessions. Meanwhile, the High Court has adjourned his anticipatory bail plea to November 27.

Initially, reports suggested that Varma had fled to Coimbatore, but more recent updates indicate that he is taking refuge at a farmhouse owned by a popular film star.
