‘Rakasa’ Twitter review: Niharika Konidela’s film gets mixed talk; comedy works for many
The Telugu horror-comedy film 'Rakasa,' backed by actor-turned-producer Niharika Konidela under her banner, has hit the big screens. Directed by Manasa Sharma, the film stars Sangeeth Shobhan in the lead. Soon after release, many people started sharing their thoughts on social media. The film is getting positive to mixed reactions from the audience.
Even with mixed talk, many people are praising Sangeeth Shobhan. One user wrote, “From start to climax, RaKaSa is packed with comedy and keeps the audience consistently entertained. Sangeeth Shobhan once again delivers a solid performance.”
Another added, “Rakasa is a fun-filled fantasy entertainer that blends magical chaos, clean comedy, and engaging storytelling refreshingly. Sangeeth Shobhan is clearly the major highlight. He delivers an energetic and effortless performance.”
‘Rakasa’ is getting mixed reviews, but the comedy and lead actor are working for many viewers.
The film stars Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles. It is released on April 3.
The audience finds plenty of laughs in 'Rakasa'
Some viewers are enjoying the film a lot. An internet user took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Rakaa is a neatly made horror comedy that delivers plenty of laughs. Both the first half and the second half are packed with several hilarious moments, while the backstory also feels convincing and well-executed. A few characters could have been handled better, and there are some repetitive moments in between, but apart from that, it turns out to be an enjoyable and fun ride overall.”‘Rakasa’ strong second half
Another said, “Fun-filled first half, interval ends on a good sequence, and an excellent second half with a good storyline. Sangeeth Shoban, Vennela Kishore, and Getup Srinu deliver top-notch entertainment. Nayan Sarika was good. The climax was too good. Niharika Konidela bags another hit. Music by Anudeep was good, and the RR was excellent. Great watch for the weekend.”Criticism over weak first half and execution
However, some shared their criticism with the 2-hour, 10-minute film; they wrote, “First half is flat, with nothing really engaging and the comedy barely working. The second half is slightly better, with Vennela Kishore generating a few laughs and some one-liners landing, but overall, it still feels amateurish. The concept had potential, but the execution is too silly. Sangeeth Shobhan tries his best to carry it, but neither the fantasy/horror elements nor the comedy fully work due to the weak screenplay. Below average!”Another added, “Rakasa is a fun-filled fantasy entertainer that blends magical chaos, clean comedy, and engaging storytelling refreshingly. Sangeeth Shobhan is clearly the major highlight. He delivers an energetic and effortless performance.”
The film stars Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles. It is released on April 3.
