'Lucky Baskhar' to make a grand debut with over 50 premieres in Hyderabad

Dulquer Salmaan is back with his latest Telugu film, which is a period crime thriller named, 'Lucky Baskhar', directed by Venky Atluri. The film is set to hit theatres tomorrow October 31 coinciding with the Diwali festival. Meenakshi Chaudhary stars alongside Dulquer as the female lead.

To kick off the film's release, the producers have organized over 100 paid premiere shows tonight across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with more than 50 of those taking place in Hyderabad alone.

The film is set in the 1980s. The film follows the story of Baskhar Kumar, played by Dulquer Salmaan, who is an ordinary middle-class banker struggling to support his family. Baskhar's life takes a dramatic turn when he inherits a large fortune. With his newfound wealth, he wants to keep it a secret from his family and friends, as the trailer progresses it shows the troubles it brings in.

The film also explores the issues in Baskhar's decisions and their effects on relationships, particularly with his wife, Sumathi, played by Meenakshi Chaudhary.

The film was initially slated for a September 2024 release but was postponed to ensure high-quality dubbing in multiple languages.

The film features music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
