Like every week, we have entered into yet another entertaining week, where we’ll witness a bunch of movies hitting the big screens, starting with Mahesh's 'Pokiri’ re-release. We have compiled a list of the films that are releasing this week, have a look at it.

Pokiri is a 2006 Telugu action thriller film written and directed by ‘Liger’ director Puri Jagannadh, co-produced by him along with Mahesh Babu’s sister Manjula Ghattamaneni. The film has Mahesh Babu playing the lead role while Ileana D’cruz and Prakash Raj played other important roles in the film. The film is now getting re-released for one day in more than 175 theaters in Telugu states on account of Mahesh Babu's birthday today. (August 9).

This is a Hindi comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan from the screenplay by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni that stars Aamir Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Kareena Kapoor playing the pivotal roles. The film is getting released with the same title in Telugu. The film is also getting released in Tamil on the same day as its Hindi version in IMAX format.

'Cobra' is a 2022 Tamil dubbed action thriller film by Ajay Gnanamuthu, and produced by Lalit Kumar. The film stars Vikram playing the titular role while Srinidhi Shetty makes her debut in Tamil cinema with this film. The film has K.S.Ravikumar, Meenakshi, Mrinalini Ravi, Padma Priya, and others playing other important roles will be released on August 11.

'Macherla Niyojakavargam' is a straight-action thriller film written and directed by M.S.Rajashekar Reddy and produced by Sudhakar Reddy. The film stars Nithiin, Krithi Shetty, and Catherine Tresa playing the lead roles. The film’s music was composed by Mahathi Swara Sagar and the film is slated for 12th August 2022.

‘Viruman’ is a Tamil dubbed masala film written and directed by M. Muthaiah starring Karthi and Aditi Shankar (Director Shankar’s daughter) playing the lead roles. The film is produced by Jyothika and Suriya under their 2D Entertainments. The film’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the cinematography is handled by Selvakumar which is scheduled to release on 12th August.

Karthikeya 2 is a supernatural thriller film written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti for Abhishek Agarwal and the People Media factory. The film is a sequel to the 2014 film Karthikeya that stars Nikhil Siddharth, Anupama Parameswaran, and Anupam Kher playing pivotal roles and is slated to be released on the 13th of August 2022.

‘Swathi Muthyam’ is a 2022 romance film starring Ganesh Bellamkonda (his debut) and Varsha Bollamma playing the lead roles. The film is directed by Lakshman K Krishna and Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under his Sithara Entertainments with the film’s music composed by Mahathi Swara Sagar. The film is said to be released on 13th August.
