1. The films are the third directorial for the directors
Nelson made his directional debut with a 2018 black comedy crime film 'Kolamaavu Kokila' starring Nayanthara in the lead role, while ‘KGF2’ director made his directional debut with 2014 ‘Ugramm’ an action thriller film starring Srimurali in the lead role. If Prasanth Neel went on to make 'KGF: Chapter' immediately, Nelson made 'Doctor' an action comedy film with Siva Karthikeyan.

2. Both films belong to the action genre
Both 'Beast' and 'KGF2' belong to an action genre and lots of gun violence and bloodshed. If 'Beast' is an action comedy film that revolves around a Spy’s crusade to rescue people held hostage in a shopping mall by terrorists, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is an action film that continues the narration of Rocky, a high ranking assassin in Mumbai, who was born in poverty. He disguises himself as a slave labourer in the Narachi limestone mine (Kolar Gold Fields) aiming to assassinate Garuda, the future heir of Kolar Gold Fields.

Stars superstars and the budget
‘Beast’ has Tamil Superstar Vijay playing the titular role and his film is made with a whopping budget of Rs 150 crores by Sun network head Kalanithi Maran. ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ stars Kannada superstar Yash and his film is made with a whopping Rs 100 crores.

5. Both the directors are directing bigger superstars in their next
‘Beast’ director Nelson signed his next directorial with Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth ‘Thalaivar169’ and more details about its production and banner are yet to be announced. While on the other hand, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ director Prashanth Neel will direct ‘Baahubali Franchaise’ famed Pan-India superstar Prabhas in ‘Salaar’. ‘Salaar’ is said to be made with a whopping budget of Rs 150 crores.
