'Kaala': Five reasons why you should watch Rajinikanth starrer

and Huma Qureshi in lead roles releases on June 7 amidst high expectations. Charting the life of a man from South India who turns into Mumbai’s Dharavi slum’s humane gangster, 'Kaala' is the director and superstar’s coming together after ‘Kabali’. In the film, Rajinikanth’s character will rise against the corrupt politician looking to suppress the residents of Dharavi and cause them harm. While Rajinikanth’s fans have enough reasons to watch 'Kaala', we give you five reasons why you should:

The obvious reason – Rajinikanth
Be it his lovable Muthu or Kabali from his last release, Rajinikanth has always managed to move audience with the manner in which he essays his characters. Bursting with swag and a style of dialogue delivery that is hard to muster, if anyone is going to watch 'Kaala', it will most definitely and obviously be for him. Sporting salt and pepper hair and beard, the superstar looks elegant as ever in this one.

Santhosh Narayanan’s kickass music
Be it the thumping ‘Semma Weightu’ and ‘Onti Thala Raavana’ or the beautiful ‘Chittamma’, Santhosh delivered a hit with this one. Barring ‘Raaye Naa Range Leela’ and ‘Nele Maa Hakku’, he delivers a near perfect album. Apart from his music, Pranav Chaganty and Dopeadelicz are the sure-fire winners of this album, elevating it to a whole new level with their lyrics and rap.

Pa. Ranjith and Dhanush
Be it the political drama ‘Madras’ or the documentary ‘Ladies and Gentlewomen’ or even his last collaboration with Rajinikanth ‘Kabali’, Pa. Ranjith has a style of filmmaking that deserves to be lauded. Dhanush on the other hand has more than proved his mettle not just as an actor but also a producer with films like ‘3’, ‘Pa Paandi’, ‘Naanum Rowdydhaan’ and more. It is only fair that expectations are high on this one with a combo like that.

Story with political undertones
The story of a powerful underdog rising in power and later fighting for justice is nothing new, however, the story of ‘Kaala’ seems to have more to it than meets the eye. The trailer, teasers, songs and other content of the film have garnered enough attention that not just fans, but even movie lovers are curious for this one. Especially so, since Rajinikanth also announced his political entry before the film’s release.
‘Kaala’s cast and crew
Be it Murali G on cinematography or Sreekar Prasad editing it and Santhosh’s music, it cannot be denied that the film has an enviable crew who are expected to do a stupendous job. Apart from Rajinikanth, with an extensive cast like Eashwari Rao, Samuthirakani, Nana Pathekar and Huma Querishi, the film just seems to be set up perfectly to be a blockbuster.
