Ashwin Kumar shares a MAJOR update on 'Mahavatar Parashuram'

After the massive success of 'Mahavatar Narsimha,' director Ashwin Kumar is ready for his next venture in the franchise, 'Mahavatar Parashuram.' In an interview with India Today, the filmmaker shared that the project is already in the pre-production phase and added that it will be an experience that the audience has never witnessed on screen.


Calling Lord Parashuram the "real fountainhead of the antihero" and someone who stood up against the system to make it right. He said, "That’s a very powerful story, and we’re aiming to go on floors within the next three months, mostly by November."

Talking about the success of the film, Ashwin Kumar stated that seeing the love his film was getting "definitely" boosted his confidence. It has made him feel that he should keep doing "things like this."

Ashwin Kumar added, "Pressure is only there if I don’t know what I’m doing—but I already know the next seven films I want to make, so it’s very clear in my head."

The director went on to reveal that not all of the films that were announced would be animated. He shared that most of them would be animated, but "I’m also planning two live-action films—one is a horror project, and the other is based on the concept of Ardhanarishvara."

'Mahavatar Narsimha', the first film of the franchise, has crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the box office globally.
